This paper outlines the approach and methodology of carrying out ISTA tests using simulation technologies . The breakthrough benefits of the technology application and modifying the work process to accommodate the technology are outlines in the presentation. The presentation draws heavily on our experiences with the automotive industry during simulation adaptation and growth phase, and it discusses the challenges and successes of reapplication of this experience into the packaging industry .
