2022 ISTA Forum | TransPack & TempPack Attendee Registration

Event Description

The registration rate includes attending sessions from either TransPack or TempPack events at no additional cost. The event programs are uniquely designed to offer attendees the opportunity to network together during the shared meals, breaks and receptions. 

Join us in-person in San Diego for the live event and experience all networking events including general sessions, social mixer, exhibitor reception and closing celebration dinner. Or register for virtual access and gain access to all recorded sessions plus enjoy all the features of our exclusive event app.

Registration Rate:
  • ISTA Member Discounted Rate: $1,700
  • Non-Member Rate: $1,825

Educator Rate:

  • $1,225 (includes either TransPack or TempPack attendee registration and a table top at the exhibitor's reception)

Student Rate:

  • $900 (must have valid student email)

In-Person registration includes:

  • TransPack and TempPack general sessions.
  • All networking events including Social Mixer, Exhibitor Reception and Closing Celebration Dinner.
  • Meals including breakfast, lunch, breaks and receptions.
  • ISTA Forum Guide.

Principles of Distribution Packaging Training
Monday, April 11th, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
This training will be instructed by ISTA's Education Council Chair, Patrick McDavid.

This course is an introduction to various topics that affect distribution package design. These topics include the understanding the various levels of packaging, corrugated fundamentals, sustainability, and the implications of packaging decisions. The hazards of supply chains, transportation modes, and different commerce channels will also be discussed.

Distribution dynamics will be discussed at a high level as a transition to the more in-depth ISTA training.

The learning objectives that should be expected after completion of the Principles for Distribution Packaging Training include:
  • Have a better understanding of the roles of the different layers of packaging in distribution.
  • Understand the fundamentals of corrugated and making sustainable packaging decisions.
  • Understand the importance of preshipment testing and the role ISTA plays in test standard development.
  • Understand the various commerce and supply channels which challenge packaging and drive design decisions.

Responsible Packaging by Design (RPbD) Training

This training will be instructed by ISTA's Lead Instructor, Larry Dull.

ISTA is offering an in-person training on the implementation of ISTA's Responsible Packaging by Design (RPbD) recommended guideline. Whether seeking to test the waters, training to implement the program, or obtain a professional certificate, the RPbD training program can help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to build your company’s reputation as an environmentally and socially conscious corporate citizen – and drive profitability.

Training will be followed by an exam which, if successfully passed, will lead to a professional certificate of training in the use of the guideline.
